Dear Traveler, we are currently experiencing some technical disruptions due to the change of booking platform. This mainly affects our online check-in, and we therefore refer to check-in desks at the respective airports until further notice. We regret the situation and are working to have a solution in place as soon as possible.

Travel Information

When traveling with populAir, you can bring your pet. Animals that are approved in the cabin and in the cargo hold are cats and dogs.

Bringing a pet is not included in your ticket; you must add this to your booking, and you will be charged a fee.

Only a limited number of pets are allowed on each flight, and depending on the destination, pet transportation may be subject to certain conditions. Transporting pets (only dogs and cats) in the cabin is subject to our prior and express approval under the following conditions. Submit a request as soon as possible and no later than 24 hours before departure.

To obtain permission to bring a pet on the flight, either in the cabin or in the cargo hold, you must book a space by contacting our Call Center at telephone number +46(0)770 790 700 or via email, callcenter@populair.com.

Remember to allow extra time for check-in and security screenings when traveling with pets.

We follow regulations and guidelines to ensure that we can keep your pet safe and healthy during the flight. The pet must be kept in a small bag/crate that fits under the seat in front of you, and the pet must remain in the bag/crate for the entire flight. The bag/crate must be closed throughout the flight. The pet and the bag/crate are considered your carry-on baggage, and you cannot bring additional carry-on baggage.

The bag/crate must be specifically designed for pet transportation and must be made of a well-ventilated, sturdy, leak-proof, and bite-resistant material.

Pets traveling in the cabin must be able to stand up, turn around, and lie down comfortably in the crate/bag.

Restrictions for Dogs

populAir has restrictions on the transportation of brachycephalic dog breeds, such as bulldogs, pugs, and Pekingese. Flights for brachycephalic (flat-nosed) animals pose an increased risk of breathing problems due to the increased stress during the flight.

For this reason, we do not allow brachycephalic breeds to travel in the cargo hold.
